New Month Comes

New Month Comes

Friend,
New month comes
With new beginning for us.
New month comes
And puts us at the doors
Of new chances,
New opportunities for progress.

Friend,
New month comes
With new moments for us.
New month comes;
The infinite gift comes
To one and to all,
Yet, to each...till the end of time.

Friend,
New month comes
It comes, stays and goes.
Like 90minutes
For us to play for goals,
Running it out
'Till the whistle is blown.

Friend,
The field;
Sandy, muddy or green.
The feet
Lean, weak or thick.
Pick a role
And go, go with zeal.

Friend,
'fore your life become commentary;
The attempts, goals and the misses,
Before the new become old
Before the spirit see its ghost,
Before the body free the soul
And sleep in the hollow below.

Go,
And go for goals.

Be a Companion

  Be a Companion

"If you would not be forgotten,
As soon as you're dead and rotten,
Either write things worth reading
Or do things worth the writing."
 _ Benjamin Franklin

You are welcome. Be a companion by contributing your thoughts and efforts to the service of others. AceTheCompanion is open for you to share your stories to inspire others. In the form of articles, poetry, and pictures on topics ranging from social issues, education, inspiration, relationship, culture, humor etc.

Before you contribute, however, we ask that you please read the guidelines:

1. Articles should be original. Any copied information should be referenced.

2. Articles should, as much as possible, be grammatically correct. This does not mean vernacular or Pidgin-english cannot be used.

3. Articles should, as much as possible refrain from insults directed towards a particular gender, ethnic group, race, or religious group.

4. Articles should be fairly accurate where dates, events, and places are mentioned.

5. Articles should have a picture related to the article topic included in the article. This helps out a great deal as our blog system lays out articles with a picture thumb. But we still welcome article without picture.

AceTheCompanion

AceTheCompanion strives to empower and encourage people to success by the provision of educational and motivational materials. Knowledge we say is power. And no doubt we all strives daily for knowledge. But often than not, after acquiring knowledge many people still appear weak at the point of applying the knowledge. This would result into poor performance and in the long run, success eluding many.

Many success stories tell us that knowledge is never enough in itself. There is something else, some call it ambition, some call it goal, others call it determination. But there is a universal belief that it is something of the mind. Our research showed us that if we set our minds right we can turn coals into golds. So how do we set our minds right?

We searched and bring to you answers in our contents.
Our team believes that "Education is the power, motivation is the ginger" this is part of what AceTheCompanion stands for. As part of the objective to achieve a bigger goal we bring to you poetry and quotes from philosophers like Aristotle to scientists like Einstein to motivational writers like Maxwell to academia like Soyinka, to political writers like Machiavelli to football legends like Fergusson and to street icons like Jay-Z. AceTheCompanion believes that there is a universal code in life which every success is based on. Every successful person- either a successful business person or professional understands this code. Paulo Coelho writes in The Alchemist (Translated by Alan R. Clarke): "all things are the manifestation of one thing only."

One thing only. If we choose to understand this 'one thing', we can use lessons from a football match to win an academic debate. Strategies from the street can be use to fortify a business plan.

However, it is best advisable to take advice from experts on matters peculiar to a particular field. Suffice to say, AceTheCompanion is a door to the world of knowledge, to have good understanding we should buy books and materials by these authors.

Please be aware that each content here speaks for its author. And not necessarily the opinion of the blogger.

Please also be aware that all contents provided here are the legal properties of their authors, their copyrights belong to the authors and their teams.
AceTheCompanion holds this blog as a commitment- a tribune to bring educational and inspirational materials closer to the people.

We wish you the best in your endeavours. For support and enquiries please contact tothecompanion@gmail.com.

WE! WE! Things (for NYSC)

WE! WE! Things (for NYSC)

The kit is like wing
Treated me like I dropped down from heaven
Through the village in my seven-over-seven
The wear that has known many cheers
I smile returned the greetings,
was soothing, panacea to my fears

Impression is lasting, Open arms is be-fitting
A west blood on the street in east, all for Service
Too many doors to open, oneness is the key
Practice how I preach it, I soak myself in service

Uniform is lined with sacrificing
Service to responsibility, clarion duty

With Sentiments trapped by Reasons
And Truancy drowning in Maturity

The corps as I see it, is the bricks to build it
So lift it, cast the doubt, get your gear into it
Wear your strength like shirt,
and soak your shirt with sweat
Be true to the pledge,
till your dust hit the earth

Blind to the money,
I lost sight of the prizes
We for us, on the race to find me,
I lost myself to service

Me among my people that's how I see it
CD till I, add honour to my CV

CD till I, add honour to my CV
Unity! Till I have the community a family
CD till I, add honour to my CV
Unity! Till WE have the country a community

Peace!
Peace!
